Have you "Herd"?
Herd Update Spring 2010
GOODBYE:
Shane
Tears were shed when it was time for this old angel to leave us! Donated by Emily Sutherland, a staff alumni, Shane became a favorite by every one of his riders. In the show ring, he was known as Easy Peasy (or Best Offer way back in his past), he carried many little ones to Champion, but had a remarkable year with Janet Stevens, where (with the exception of one show) never placed lower than 2nd all year! Amazing! His past dressage training, perfect rhythm and dependability made his riders look their very best. We will miss you Shane!
Jesse
This young girl has a ton of potential, but needed more time and miles.
Sadie, Taz and Barbie
On loan to us from Mark Grice, these girls have moved on to be a blessing to others.
Lucky
He was handsome alright, but didn’t meet our high standards of dependability.
Stormy
We will miss this wonderful girl! Originally donated by Amanda Wagler, a staff alumni, Stormy was a top notch jumper…the most honest teacher you could find. With great form and auto changes, she won many ribbons for her novice OR jumper riders. Physical injuries have led her to a more relaxed life.
Jock
This handsome big guy has been purchased by Brit McLeod, on of our wonderful staff members, and will be shown on the Central West Trillium Circuit in 2010. Good luck guys! You make a great pair!
Holly
This dependable ‘ol palomino girl just wouldn’t come sound and we were sad to say goodbye. Her new family is taking good care of her as she teaches their kids to get comfortable around horses.
Maddie
Donated by the Sikura family, this beautiful mare has moved on to continue her training as a hunter/jumper.
NEW! And excited to meet you…
Dreamer
Yay! We were so excited to receive this amazing donation from Sue & Quinne Mason of Thunder Bay. After a successful career on the Quarter Horse Circuit and then the Trillium Circuit, our campers now get to enjoy her!
Mouse & Clarence
Currently on loan, these guys are quiet and well suited to our western program. Thank you to Tim S. for thinking of us!
Eddie
A new addition to our herd is this new curly donkey! Wait till you hear his bray! He loves people, so get ready to cuddle!
Holly
This bay mare has a hunter show history and we’re looking forward to enjoying her. Thanks to Mark Desoutels for the connection.
Sweetie
She really is the sweetest thing you’ve ever met! We love her already and you will too! A nice new hunter prospect! Thanks to Lindsey Grice for the connection.
Lokey
Our friendliest horse hands down! Nothing scares this cute guy. He’ll be a great addition to our western program. Thanks to Lindsey Grice for the connection.
Splash
This cute small pony will be a favorite for all you pony lovers. Previously shown in the short stirrup division on the Trillium circuit, she will be showing at the Teen Ranch shows this summer.
Jenny
Thanks to Lindsey Grice (again) for connecting us to Jenny. Jenny is a phenomenal western AND English Quarter Horse…she’s even awesome on trails! Another amazing donation…Thank you Jesus for our blessings!
